Congratulations to Rahmalillah Khairiah on Successfully Passing Her Thesis Defense in the Master’s Program in Chemistry in Collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UTM)

On Monday, December 2, 2024, Rahmalillah Khairiah (Student ID: 24030122420004) successfully defended her thesis titled Encapsulation of Andrographolide in Nanoliposomes and Surface Modification with Gum Arabic to Inhibit Cancer Cell Growth: In Vitro and In Silico Approaches. Rahmalillah Khairiah completed her studies in the Master’s Program in Chemistry in 1 year, 10 months, and 1 day—an accelerated graduation compared to the standard study duration of 2 years.

Her thesis research was supervised by Prof. Dr. Dra. Dwi Hudiyanti, M.Sc., and Prof. Dr. Parsaoran Siahaan, M.S., from the Master’s Program in Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro, and Prof. Dr. Fadzilah Adibah binti Abdul Majid from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu.

The thesis research was a collaboration between the Master’s Program in Chemistry at FSM Undip and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. In addition to the thesis, the research resulted in four publications:

  1. “Characterisation and Quality Assessment of Phospholipid from Sesame Seeds (Sesamum indicum),”
  2. “Nanoliposome-encapsulated andrographolide with gum Arabic surface modification inhibits cervical cancer growth: In vitro and in silico approaches,”
  3. “Profiling Extracts of Coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) Meat using Liquid Chromatography High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (LC-HRMS),”
  4. “Liposome Encapsulation of Andrographolide in Anticancer Treatment: A Review and Bibliometric Analysis.”

CONGRATULATIONS TO
RAHMALILLAH KHAIRIAH, S.Si., M.Si

Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of the Learning and Research Process for Course-Based and Research-Based Students in the Master’s Program in Chemistry for the Odd Semester of 2024-2025

Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of the Learning and Research Process for Course-Based and Research-Based Students in the Master’s Program in Chemistry for the Odd Semester of 2024-2025

The purpose of the monitoring and evaluation (Monev) activity is to track and assess the progress of lectures and research conducted by students. During this activity, students are given the opportunity to provide feedback on the learning process and report on their research progress.

Students who have achieved more than 75% of their research targets (proposal, research/study, thesis writing) are encouraged to increase their achievements to 100% and promptly carry out seminars (proposal and research results) and thesis examinations. Submitting articles for publication in scientific journals is also encouraged to be initiated in the second semester, as the peer-review and publication process takes considerable time. In the third and fourth semesters, students can focus on completing their research, thesis writing, and thesis examination.

Monev is one of the activities conducted as part of the PPEPP process (Determination, Implementation, Evaluation, and Control). In the Master’s Program in Chemistry, Monev is carried out routinely in the middle and at the end of each semester. The purpose of this Monev is to ensure that classroom and non-classroom learning processes (Implementation) are conducted as planned (Determination).

The outcomes of Monev place greater emphasis on ensuring a smooth study process, enabling students to graduate within two years or less. Students were highly enthusiastic about the results of this Monev and are determined to complete their activities, particularly achieving non-classroom milestones (proposal, research, publication, research result seminars, and thesis examinations) in the Odd Semester of 2024-2025.
